My mother migrated to the United States as a teenager with no money, and when I was born, she was homeless and had to find shelter in the subway system. That’s right, you heard correctly. It was one of those tragic scenes where a mother is down on her luck with no place to go. Despite the struggles, acts of kindness from friends and family allowed my mother to get back on her feet. This experience taught me the warrior's mindset - where there is a will, there is a way. That's why I believe in the power of acts of kindness and practice them regularly.
